Blind Man is a raw, on-edge, humorous road trip with two clueless
“man-children” in their early 30s. On the road from Chicago to
Las Vegas to Los Angeles, the two put their friendship to the test as
they lie their way cross country for a chance to make their dreams
come true.
KEVIN ADAMSON (Brian McGuire) is a 31-year old who has floated
through life leeching off his rich parents and infesting their pool
house in the wealthy suburbs of Chicago. That is, until he directed
a short film titled, “Blind Man and The See,” starring his depressed
best friend DEREK MELSON (Bret Roberts). Pretentious and bloated,
the film is terrible and no film festival will touch it.
Kevin receives yet another rejection letter, this time from The
CineVegas Film Festival. As he goes to break the news to Derek,
he walks in on a family dispute. Angry with both Derek and Kevin
for wasting her $65,000 retirement fund for the film, Derek’s mom
(Kay Krasin) puts Derek out on the street.
In order to put a positive spin on everything and to help cheer up
his broken friend, Kevin lies to Derek about CineVegas. This brings
a glimmer of hope to Derek’s eye and rekindles his dreams of being
an actor. The lies pile up, driving Kevin Adamson and Derek Melson to the
brink of hysterical insanity as they attempt to attend a film festival
that their film was overwhelmingly rejected from. ..
